OUR FUTURE

Here at Toby, we are always looking for ways to reduce the environmental impact of our restaurants. We're making small changes every-day, to make a long-lasting impact on the planet.

Here’s how our parent company, Mitchells & Butlers, is doing its bit to help:

0 single-use plastics by 2022

-20% food waste by 2025

Up to 80% recycled waste by 2025

-25% greenhouse gas emissions by 2030

We are determined to put the same level of passion and care into these goals as we do into every single ruffled roastie.

We’re working with leading surplus food app, Too Good To Go, to fight food waste.

Leading the food waste movement, Too Good To Go lets people buy surplus food and drink from restaurants, grocery stores, pubs, cafes and producers to stop it from going to waste.

Every single Toby Carvery restaurant across the UK is now signed up, making sure that any remaining food is eaten and enjoyed, not wasted.

Consumers can simply download the free Too Good To Go app, search for their nearby Toby Carvery with unsold roasts, purchase a ‘Magic Bag’, collect it at an allotted time, and dig in.

The Toby Carvery Magic Bags contain a variety of surplus food from the carvery menu, just waiting to be rescued:

Roast Carvery Magic Bags: Available for £3.29, containing at least £8 of food.

Vegetarian Carvery Magic Bags: Available for £2.29, containing at least £6 of food.

So far, over 40,000 Magic Bags of food have been rescued by hungry consumers, saving over 100 tonnes of CO2e. Join us now and be part of this (tasty) positive change.
