Breakfast Yorkies

Because Yorkies are way too good to only have in one meal…

Prep time: 10mins | Cook time: 40mins
Ingredients
  • Yorkshire pudding mix (click here for our Yorkie recipe or use a pre-made mix, we won’t tell!)
  • Rapeseed oil
  • 2 rashers of back bacon
  • ½ red onion, diced
  • Cheese (optional, but encouraged)

Method
  1. Heat a lightly oiled Yorkshire pudding tray in a pre-heated oven at 240C for 20 minutes
  2. Cook bacon according to pack instructions. Once cooled, roughly dice
  3. Slice the red onion and sauté with a little oil for 5 minutes until soft
  4. Carefully remove the trays from the oven and add your Yorkshire mix equally into each hole of the tray, sprinkling diced bacon and cooked onion slices on top
  5. Be sure to close the oven door slowly so you don't force all the hot air out. Oh, and don't open the door to check on progress – the cold air will make your puds sag
  6. Place into the oven for approximately 25 minutes
  7. When they rise and look golden-brown and crisp on top, they're done
  8. Remove once ready and sprinkle cheese on top – yum!
  9. Serve with your full English breakfast and thank us later
